[As far as Kagami remembers, that creepy home has appeared deserted since he moved nearby. Creepy might be an understatement. People avoid it for a reason, with rumors circulating and accumulating until they become so ridiculous even he stops paying attention to them. Breaking and entering is definitely a Bad Idea.

But Kagami has always been drawn to situations that get him in trouble. And, more importantly, he's broke.

And hungry.]

It's okay~! Because I have a knife.

[He sing-songs to himself, picking the lock and thanking whatever non-existent deities that the previous owner never bothered to replace their old, fragile locks with a key card system. It doesn't take him long at all before the door unlocks and the handle clatters to the ground. Damn. That would have been an issue if it wasn't abandoned.

Kagami shuts the door behind him and looks for the nearest lightswitch to flip it on. And then he starts looking around for any valuables.]

[ "BECAUSE I HAVE A KNIFE"..... Kagami, pls. Has he never heard of "bringing a knife to a gun fight" before? Because that's about to be pretty darn applicable to his present situation. There's a reason this house is locked and deserted, and it has very little to do with housing market crashes, real estate prices, or the very derelict nature of the property.

Because it is pretty run-down. Kagami will be able to see the moment he enters that not much more than the first floor has seen any (very limited) use in a long, long time. There's dust, dirt, leaves...more than one hole in the floorboards. Cobwebs hang on the ceiling and lights above. The air is musty with mildew and mould.

...But the electricity does work. There's not much on the first floor besides old furniture that's seen better days; other people--squatters, looters--have been here before him. Most of what's valuable has been taken down there, but he will be able to tell: the staircase has mostly collapsed, and the space up there? Looks much less touched.

Possibly lots of nice goodies up there, if he can figure out a way to get there. ]
