It's still preferable to the immediate threat of raiders who he definitely didn't go out of his way to steal from and piss off, so even though Kagami don't recognize this area of the Wastes he fled to in his panic to outrun them, maybe he can take two seconds to sit and take a breather. He retrieves his spoils proudly and eats, while the sun, unforgiving, illuminates him.]

[Maybe he could tag along with some nomads, or find an abandoned encampment. But anything abandoned wouldn't be much use for him, would it? As Kagami eats, and the adrenaline dies down, he starts to get a better look at his surroundings. The way he lost the raiders feels almost too convenient. Hm. He stores the rest of the food and water in his satchel he earned legitimately for later, and reluctantly stands back up to explore.]

The pat to her head makes Noh freeze just long enough for him to get a few strides ahead--but when she realizes that, she lets out a growl of frustration and starts to sprint after him, aiming to follow him down the rocks just far enough that she can leap off and tackle him to the ground. ]

[He's starting to think she has a thing for pushing him into the ground! The sand is rough against his skin and it gets in his eyes. He coughs and tries to look up at her, squinting. It's not the most painful thing he's ever experienced but ouch.]

[ Godlings are supposed to be cursed, and as far as she knows, she hasn't done anything to pick a fight with Kagami (before now). There's no reason for him to wander his way into her territory, and even less of a reason for him to be around two days in a row with him knowing what she is. ]
